2015 International Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Forum

On the morning of September 26, 2015, “2015 International Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Forum, with the Nuclear Medicine Branch of Chinese Medical Association as the sponsor, and the Nuclear Medicine Branch of Shandong Medical Association, Linyi Research Institute of Science and Technology Cooperation and Application, High-tech Electronic Industrial Park of Tancheng County and Shandong Madic Technology Co., Ltd. as the organizers, was held in Linyi.
The forum gathered the nuclear medicine experts from 7 countries and regions at home and abroad to discuss and exchange views on anti-war issues in nuclear medicine, molecular imaging, precision medicine and other fields. There were more than 80 famous experts at home and abroad attended the forum, including Dr. Rathan Subramaniam, chairman of American Nuclear Medicine Academy, Dr. Fan Chengxi chairman of Asian Grand Alliance for Nuclear Medicine and Biology, Dr. Li Zaitai, chairman of the Society of Nuclear Medicine of South Korea, Professor Huang Wensheng, president of the Society of Nuclear Medicine of Taiwan, Professor Li Yaming, chairman of the Nuclear Medicine Branch of Chinese Medical Association, Professor Wang Tie and Wang Jing, vice chairmen of the Nuclear Medicine Branch, Professor Wang Hui, Secretary of the Nuclear Medicine Branch, Professor Zhang Yongxue, president of the Nuclear Medicine Branch of Chinese Nuclear Society, Professor He Zuoxiang, president-elect of the Nuclear Medicine Branch of Chinese Nuclear Society, Professor HouGuihua, chairman of the nuclear medicine branch of Shandong Nuclear Society and so on.
There were 18 academic reports made in the conference, 10 of which were from overseas experts and 8 from domestic experts, covering the frontier areas of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging, as well as the latest developments at home and abroad. The reports, Tracking Cell Migration with Modal Molecular Imaging of Dr. Li Zaitai from South Korea, Translational Research on the Dopamine in the Brain System of Dr. Huang Wensheng from Taiwan, and One-stop Clinical Tumor Diagnosis, Staging and Restaging Operation Procedures of Dr. Sun Long from Xiamen University, and etc. are highly appraised by the participating experts.
This forum was strongly supported by Linyi Municipal Party Committee, Shandong Provincial Government, Tancheng County Party Committee and County Government. At the forum, the Nuclear Medicine Branch of Chinese Medical Association and the American Nuclear Medical Academy signed an agreement to jointly build the China-America Nuclear Medical Academy. The China-America Nuclear Medical Academy would be established in Linyi to promote the cooperation between China and America in the research, education, training and standard establishment and etc. in the field of nuclear medicine. The nuclear medicine branch of Chinese Medical Association also signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Strengthening Exchanges and Cooperation in the Field of Nuclear Medicine with Linyi Municipal Government, aiming to promote the further development of nuclear medicine in Linyi.
In recent years, Linyi City actively responds to the call of encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship by introducing talents and supporting high-tech enterprises. Shandong MadicTechnology Co., Ltd., located in Lizhuang Town, Tancheng County, Shandong Province, is a typical representative. Led by Dr. Liu Jiguo, who is returning from the United States, the company is engaged in the research and development of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging equipments. Since it was settled in Tancheng County in 2012, Madic has successfully launched a series of small animal PET, PET/CT, PET/MR and other devices for molecular imaging research. Linyi Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, Tancheng County Party Committee and County Government has strongly supported local nuclear medicine development for a long time; therefore, the forum is held in Linyi, China, and the China-America Nuclear Medical Academy is established in Linyi; these developments will not only promote the further development of China in the field of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging, but also promote the further development of local related industry of Linyi.
